There are a number of sources and ways in which you can earn easy money through writing and selling articles. While you might not get paid well in the starting, you will be able to generate a good enough income once you are settled.

Here is what you need to know before you reach your destiny in selling articles. It’s not too much hard work but more work in the right direction.

Selling Articles

How to Make Money By Selling Articles

Choose a market to start.

Don’t simply write articles for fashion magazines or other famous genres. High paying jobs usually have well settled writers and it is better to not get disappointed with rejections in the beginning.
Choose a relatively easier market for selling articles. There are certain articles which almost every industry requires. Write articles for such topics.

Options for salling articles

Offline: You can send your articles to different magazines or publications and wait for them to reply. There are a number of newspapers and journals which also feature a guest space for new writers. It is more of a contest to get into the famous publications but still a few stamps might be your lottery ticket.

Online: There are a number of websites such as ghostbloggers etc. where you can write and submit articles and get paid for them. There are other platforms such as Upwork, etc. where you can get jobs for writing articles as per the client specifications.

Discuss your ideas.

Take part in freelance writing communities or forums to seek out new ideas for writing articles more efficiently. Try talking to other people for getting a perspective as on what the general public wants to read or hear about.

Genre and Categories:

Begin with what you know. If you can develop 500 word articles on a specific topic then stick to that for a while until you get accustomed to the market and requirements.

Research well on topics. Even if you know something research thoroughly before penning or typing down anything. There can be a number of outdated facts and misinformed occasions relating to a topic for you. You do not want to write an article on “Solar System” and include Pluto as a planet.

Try expanding slowly. Research into other branches and slowly expand yourself in the form of a net. Maintain a strong connection with the initial topics so that you can redo any similar assignments for previous clients and also have a good grasp on current topics so that your profile does not take a hit just because you picked a wrong job.

Don’t pay.

When you are a beginner looking to make money, you should not pay just to have an opportunity to work. Save your funds for later and type something better in the URL. Remember, there is always a free and effective website which will buy your articles at the right price if you wait for the right time and have the required skills.

Be professional.

It’s fine if you are sitting in shorts and t-shirt typing away in front of your screen but you should always appear professional to the clients. Make sure that you write the articles as per the guidelines and follow the instructions to the letter.
Appear professional while having conversation with the clients and have a valid explanation for your work at all times.

Proofread and check.

Before submission, proofread the entire article for making sure that there are no errors. There might still be a glitch here or there in your article but a professional article never has any. With that in mind proofread and edit your article accordingly.

Check your article for plagiarism and other grammatical errors through free sources such as, grammarly etc. You can also use paid methods such as Copyscape for checking the uniqueness of your article before submitting it.
